Work on Idea #151

Cash Flow Drawing Tool

Back in 2014, I struggled with the fact that I didn't seem to find an easy way to produce a cash flow diagram on a computer. Really, that had to be something better than drawing arrows in paintbrush.

So I set my limited python skills into this task, and the result was a script that did the trick. For convenience, I produced an executable.

The original code today is outdated. It was made in python 2.7x, and to be honest I don't really feel like going over that again. But the executable works to this date.

It runs being called from the command prompt, and all the user has to do is to fill a text file (.txt) with the values to be placed on the diagram, call the executable with a single command line and it spits out the image of the cash flow diagram.

It may seem cumbersome without an user interface but I promise you it is super easy to use. It even supports some customization, as well as a few image file formats such as (.pdf), (.png) and (.jpg).

There is a detailed documentation about its usage, with many examples.

I'm sharing this Cash Flow Drawing Tool, free for the taking!
